This is a blog for The Hotel Bella Muerte project, started by eatingallthebutterscotch pudding
What this project means:
Bella Muerte translates to "a beautiful death", which means dying when your time comes, calm, and not taking your own life. I believe in music over razor blades, so I started this project.
Objectives:
To empower young teens to stop self harm, and to bring the power of music back
What is the project:
Any time you want to cut, write the lyrics to a song on your arm, leg, wherever you cut. A song that inspires you, a song that you have loved for a while or just discovered the other day.Prove that music really can save lives.
What if you don't cut:
Well, you may know someone who does. Which is why you can write something like "together" on you and "forever" on another, something to show that friend/family member that you care.
What inspired this blog:
Gerard and LynZ Way writing loving messages to each other on their arms, and the song The Jetset Life Is Going To Kill You by My Chemical Romance

Question

Anonymous asked: Okay, so I don't know if you're still asking, but some of my lyrics are: 1. I am not afraid to keep on living. I am not afraid to walk this world alone. (Well actually the whole "Famous Last Words" song), 2. Awake and unafraid. Asleep or dead. (especially last part) 3. If life ain't just a joke, then why are we laughing? If life ain't just a joke, then why am I dead?, 4. You can't understand 5. I'm just the way that the doctor made me. 6. Keep running., etc.

Question

Anonymous asked: I haven't self harmed in 10 months now, and your project just saved me from breaking that tonight. I disassembled my razor out of desperation, and just as I was about to do it I just fell to the floor crying. Then, when I regained myself I got a pen and wrote "You’re still searching for these answers, they’re not inside your wrist"— Rise Against, Heaven Knows.

this is such a beautiful and wonderful story and is exactly what this project’s goal is

thank you for being you and stay strong <3

Question

Anonymous asked: i've been cutting for almost three years, and my ex-friend used to tell me that i talked about death like it was a shiny toy, and that scared me but i don't want to stop. i just want to be better.

Part of getting better is stopping. But you don’t have to do that immediately, it takes time. Talk to someone, a parent, a counselor, someone you trust. Discuss the road of treatment/getting better that’s right for you

Question with 1 note

Anonymous asked: Lyrics that saved my life: 1) Give a cheer for all the broken; listen here, because it's who we are, 2) You've gotta swim, don't let yourself sink. Just find the horizon, I promise you it's not as far as you think, and 3) And the poets are just kids who didn't make it and never had it at all.

thank you <3
